Human Design Generator: Sacral Energy and Response
Generators are the most common type in Human Design. They're described as the life force of the world: people with sustainable energy for work they love. Here's what makes a chart a Generator, and what the system suggests.

What makes a Generator
A Generator has a defined Sacral centre and no motor centre connected to the Throat. If a motor did connect to the Throat, the chart would be a Manifesting Generator instead. The Sacral is the centre of life force, work energy and response.
Strategy: to respond
Human Design advises Generators to wait for something to respond to rather than initiating from the mind. The Sacral answers with sounds or sensations, the classic 'uh-huh' for yes and 'unh-unh' for no. Yes-or-no questions from someone else are a common way to hear it.
Satisfaction and frustration
The Generator's signature is satisfaction: the tired-but-content feeling after using energy on the right things. Frustration is the not-self theme, a sign of being stuck in work or commitments the gut didn't choose. The system describes Generators as built to master things through repetition.
